SENSEX is a separate market context
Do not treat SENSEX as another spelling of NIFTY. The underlying index, listed contracts and exchange segment differ. Compare the contract name, expiry and instrument type before opening a position. A SENSEX index value, a futures price and an option premium refer to different instruments and can create very different exposure.
Identify futures and options before ordering
A futures contract does not have a call or put designation. An option includes a strike and call or put type. Read the symbol and the order ticket rather than relying on a familiar-looking price. In your journal, separate futures exercises from option exercises so that you do not compare premium changes with futures point changes as if they were equivalent.
Use the terminal as a rehearsal
Search SENSEX in the instrument list and inspect a supported contract. Review the chart, status and quantity, then place a small simulated order with a clear exit plan. Follow the order into positions and history. If the feed is unavailable, record the attempt as unavailable rather than counting a hypothetical fill as actual platform performance.
Compare processes across indices
A useful cross-market exercise is to repeat the same checklist on NIFTY, BANK NIFTY and SENSEX: full symbol, expiry, lot size, planned loss, target and review. Keep each market’s results separate. The aim is to compare how consistently you followed the process, not to declare one index universally easier or more profitable.
Use current contract information
Contract schedules and specifications can change. Verify them with the relevant exchange and use the currently selectable catalogue in the terminal. A guide cannot guarantee that every strike or expiry is available. Simulated trades do not reproduce all real margin, settlement, liquidity or execution obligations.

Questions & answers
Does MCX Control offer SENSEX practice?
The product supports selected SENSEX futures and options through the BFO catalogue. Confirm the available instruments and data inside the terminal.
Can I switch from MCX to SENSEX?

No. All paper balances and profits are simulated and have no withdrawable value.
